Our Story

Cottage Conveyance was born from a simple idea: buying or selling a home shouldn’t feel like learning a new language. Too many sellers and buyers told us the same thing: they’d signed contracts they didn’t fully understand, chased lawyers who never called back, and felt like they were getting in the way of their own settlement.

We started this firm to do it differently. Plain English, fixed fees up front, and conveyancers who treat you like the most important person in the deal — because to us, you are. Whether it’s your first home in Carindale or your fifth investment property in Cairns, you get the same care.

Jocelyn Dore

Principal Solicitor

Jocelyn is the principal solicitor behind Cottage Conveyance and the kind of property lawyer who genuinely loves what she does. With more than 13 years of experience across conveyancing and property law, Jocelyn has guided hundreds of Queenslanders through some of the biggest transactions of their lives. She has a particular soft spot for first home buyers, and takes real pride in making what can be a stressful process feel manageable, straightforward and even exciting.

Jocelyn is the conveyancing solicitor of choice for a growing number of mortgage brokers and finance professionals across Australia, a reputation built on consistent results, thorough communication and a knack for keeping settlements running smoothly.

Nadini is Jocelyn’s trusted right hand and the quiet force that keeps Cottage Conveyance running like clockwork behind the scenes.

With over a decade of experience spanning conveyancing, banking and legal services, Nadini brings a depth of knowledge and an exceptional eye for detail that makes her an invaluable part of every client’s journey. She is the kind of person who genuinely cares about getting things right, and clients often remark on how organised, responsive and warm she is to deal with.

Nadini holds an MBA and a BSc in International Management, and her background managing large client portfolios and legal teams means nothing much rattles her. She has seen it all, handled it gracefully, and still has time to make sure your calls are returned and your questions are answered. Between Jocelyn’s legal expertise and Nadini’s operational precision, you are in very good hands.

Martin Mari

Practice Manager

Martin is the Practice Manager at Cottage Conveyance. Operations, systems, finance administration, people, risk and governance all sit with him, which in practice means keeping the firm running so everyone else can get on with the legal work.

With over eight years of experience in corporate finance, project management and stakeholder engagement, Martin brings commercial experience that benefits both the firm and the clients we serve. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and is completing his MBA.

He also looks after the firm’s relationships with mortgage brokers and finance professionals, and he is usually the one asking how the client experience could be better. He is good with people, and he likes getting the details right.

Together, Jocelyn and Martin bring legal expertise and business experience to a firm built on the belief that great service and good people go hand in hand.

Zaynab Altimimi

Zaynab is an admitted lawyer with over 2 years of experience in the legal field, helping clients navigate legal processes with care and compassion. Having dealt with many vulnerable people, she takes a compassionate approach to supporting clients through complex and sensitive situations. She is committed to creating a safe and respectful environment where every individual feels heard and valued.
